Development Accountant/Financial Analyst
This is a professional Accountant/Analyst role within the Finance Department. The role is designed to provide additional analytical and operational resource both within the Finance Department and to other departments in the business in the areas of financial and operating procedures, controls and operational processes.
This role is designed to develop capacity within the business and adequate support will be provided internally to the individual and to the achievement of the objectives. However, appointee is expected to have already demonstrated a capacity to self motivate and have achieved measurable successes in previous appointments.
This is a varied role providing strong opportunity for personal and professional career development with excellent prospects for progression and promotion within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the finance strategy throughout the business
• Carry out specific assignments as directed, which will include analysis of financial and business data and processes in all departments and functions including, cost reporting, inventory control, capital expenditure control, budget preparation, treasury management
• As directed, identify scope to improve business efficiency
• Plan and report to Head of Departments, including Finance, on proposed change processes implement and manage change within existing operational environments
• Perform operational functions throughout the business as directed
• Supervise staff to achieve business objectives when directed

Job requirement
Qualifications and Attributes:
• Strong technical knowledge of business, accounting and finance concepts
• Experience of operating or auditing in a dynamic and well structured business environment
• Knowledge and experience of good business processes and controls
• Possess good analytical skills and ability to constructively present and report findings verbally and in written reports
• Possess good capacity to plan, implement and report on own work
• Ability to supervise other staff through change processes
• Confident and capable in a professional role
• Honours degree in Accounting, Business Administration (Finance), Commerce, Statistics or associated discipline
• Recently qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CPA (U))
• At least three years experience in a professional role in business or practice environment and may have reached the level of Audit Senior, Team Leader or Supervisor
